An institution in Tripoli, Abdul Rahman Hallab is a very old sweet shop. Indeed, it’s open since the 19th century!
There, you will find some of the best sweets in Lebanon, but they also have a restaurant upstairs.
The restaurant is nice and charming, people from all ages come to eat there because it’s cheap, good and the 3 plats-du-jour always offer something for everyone. There are two choices of dishes with meat, chicken or fish or vegetables at reasonable prices. Salad, hummus, bread and dessert are included.
I’ve never been disappointed at Abdul Rahman Hallab, at such a low price, this is a must-try!

Were visiting Lebanon. Stopped by the Tripoli location and ordered 2 kilos of mixed baklava, one for us and one as a present. Everything was packaged nicely "to travel". To our disappointment, when we arrived to the US, both packages did not have baklava in them, but some other sweet we are not familiar with. We tried to contact Hallab via email (required multiple follow-ups with no response) and via relatives in Lebanon to correct the issue. We were told that the stuff we have needs to be returned and nothing can be done... Incidentally, by mistake (unknow to us that there are multiple Hallabs) we contacted Rifa't Alhallab, who responded immediately and were very helpful, even though the product was not purchased at their store.. Next time, I plan to there instead.

I live abroad and i often order for special occasion lebanese pastries. Every time i order from abdul rahman they arrive ROTTEN.... imagine the scenario the box is meant to be gifted !!!! SHAAAAME
The sweet are good! BUT it's getting more and more expensive! almost double price comparing with anywhere else! The service is getting more and more sloooooow!
Outstanding place. Always open the box and check prdouct. Never trust a closed box unless they pack infront of you. Always look at your recipt everywhere
