Al Sultan Brahim is one of the famous fancy fish restaurants in Lebanon. We visited the Downtown branch, the location is excellent and the interior is simple and classy. The clientèle is mostly wealthy.
We had a business lunch with a fish menu. The mezze was exquisite with new dishes that I never tasted before. I discovered the Akkary hommos bi tahine: a mix of mashed chickpeas, fish, a tiny quantity of vegetables and a strong taste of tahine. The restaurant is very famous for its mouthwatering Balila. I also recommend the crab salad. The fish was also delicious, well cooked, smelling and looking fresh.
The service is attentive and courteous unlike the intrusive traditional Lebanese restaurants service.
My visit to Al Sultan Brahim Downtown was really enjoyable. If you can afford the high bill, I strongly recommend the restaurant.
