Balima – Saifi
Charming and peaceful café restaurant
Details
Review by Souad
Balima is a charming café restaurant that makes you travel while sitting in the heart of Beirut. Its terrace on the internal square of Saifi village make you feel in a typical square café in a European city and allows you to relax in very comfortable couches. In addition to the terrace, the restaurant has an inner lobby with a Zen design.
Balima serves French salads, sandwiches, quiches (baked dish based on custard in a pastry crust) and of course drinks and desserts. We found the salads and sandwiches good whereas the quiches were a little too heavy. Service is friendly and quick and reinforces the feeling of being abroad. Prices are expensive regarding what is offered.
The restaurant also sells contemporary furniture, so don’t be shocked with the prices in the last pages of the menu!
If you feel like going somewhere different and add a little occidental touch to your day, Balima is a good place to go.
