Basma – Ashrafieh
Innovative Lebanese in a renovated old house

Review by Souad
If you’ve passed by Charles Malek Avenue, you’ve probably noticed Basma, a restaurant in an old renovated house. The restaurant has a big terrace while the indoors reveal the old interior design of Beirutee houses.
The menu is Lebanese with a twist, you will find regular plates, regional unknown plates and innovative creations. We adored their shanklish mix, we tasted the kebbe stuffed with meat and Labneh and it was Ok. Basma is very famous for its desserts, so keep a place for the end. Prices on the menu fall within average.
The service was excellent, the manager visited our table helping with the menu and making sure that everything is Ok. When food arrived, there were a mistake in the order, the waitress was very open and changed it immediately.
Overall, I recommend Basma if you want to eat Lebanese but you are tired of the classic Lebanese restaurants menus.
