Cafe Rawda – Manara

When you enter this restaurant, you are amazed that a place like this got away from Beirut’s crazy development. This restaurant has got it all: the garden, the sea, the children’s playground, the neighboring planes that will take your breath away. The beauty of this place lies within its simplicity: plastic chairs and tables under trees or by the sea side, no flashy design, the real basic in a charming environment.

You can meet in cafe Rawda elegant Beirutee ladies having their arguileh, families with their children, couples sitting in a quiet corner and if you’re lucky you will discover a table of intellectuals during their reinvention of the world.

The food is good especially the traditional plates and the service is basic.

Cafe Rawda is by far my favorite refuge in Beirut city. It is clear that the owners could never have found a better name for this restaurant.
