Casino Mhanna has a branch in Antelias and a branch in Zahleh. The branch in Zahleh along the riverside walk of Berdawni is very famous among Zahlewis for being the chic place to invite people you cherish. The place is very calm and relaxing, as are all restaurants of this unique area, but our own experience wasn’t exactly perfect.
Grills were served before appetizers, r2a2at jebneh and fattoush were average. Finally, before the end of the lunch, they made us move to another table, so they free up one of their good tables next to the river. Also to notice, the place is inhabited by a lot of flies, which isn’t surprising for a riverside.
On the good side, grills and kébbé nayé were delicious, fresh hot saj is served and generous large plates of juicy fruits are offered to finish the meal.
To conclude, things could have been better on the service side, but the place and atmosphere are nice and refreshing (especially for someone from the noisy town of Beirut). So we enjoyed a great moment there anyway.
