Couqley is a very famous French restaurant in Beirut. The restaurant’s menu offers the traditional French musts from the soupe à l’oignon to the traditional entrecôte. In addition, if you’re a wine lover, you’ll be thrilled with the wine variety.

The restaurant has an inside hall and a terrace. The design of the restaurant is very typical of a French bistro with a warm atmosphere.

Couqley is famous for its good cuisine but when we visited the restaurant we didn’t appreciate the experience. The meat was less than average and the service was awful. I had a fly in my salad so I didn’t eat it. When the server came to take the plates, he saw the fly but didn’t apologize or react.

Prices are higher than average but some people think that it’s worth it.

Menu

Traditional Bistro French menu: starters, salads, main courses in addition to a wide variety of wine.
The restaurant offers a weekday lunch menu for 25000LL.

Suitable for vegetarians. Serves alcohol.

Good to know

Has a terrace. Recommended for business lunches and friends.

My favorite French restaurant in Lebanon. Great atmosphere, good food - and a constancy in delivering such quality - it almost feels as though you're no longer in Lebanon for a brief time. Don't get me wrong I love Lebanon... But this place really has a French feel to it. A must-try!
