Owner's Word

Located in the Old Souk facing the Citadel in Jbeil - Mount Lebanon, Feniqia is a restaurant that serves Lebanese food. Customers are first treated with a free of charge Zaatar/Labne mini Sajj, placed on wood that fits the table design. This concept shows true Lebanese hospitality to foreigners and locals alike, which gives the restaurant a good reputation. Sandwiches are presented like a normal platter, with salad on the side, vegetables and other food depending on the sandwich itself. The store's special dish is the beef stake, definitely the customers' favorite dish along with a glass of wine.

This place is one of Byblos's most amazing hidden secrets. Forget the horrible service and the very arrogent owner... go for the food!!!
The experience will start with you sitting in a very nice restaurant with unique warm antique style interior. Even the toilet is nice!! You will be greeted with peanuts and a nice glass bowl for the nut sells. Very cute... but wait it gets better. Shortly after, the waiter will arrive with a peice of wood that fits perfectly in a groove in the table, it holds the cutest mini hot "saj" with bread, olives, zaatar, labne. The menu is not very creative, yet the food is very good and fairly priced.
Every visit last summer to the beach in Amchit ended with a late lunch in Feniqia. Again, ignore the service, the food makes the dining experience there very pleasant.

One of the best places you could go. The food is good, very Lebanese, the design is great, prices are very affordable too. Have a walk in Byblos historical site and top it with a nice dinner at Feniqia. Definitely worth the experience.

Fenequia is a very nice restaurant to be visited by friends and family. Delicious food and remarkable tastings. It has a typical and a strategic place in Byblos market (souk jbeil).
    Service is good and respected.

Well I used to go frequently to this place... Every visit to the beach ended with a dinner at Feniqia...
The crew is amazing, very friendly...
I went there this time after 8 months with 2 of my friends. As usual the place was very crowded and that was really annoying. I love the starters (saj + nuts). The food was served very fast and it was delicious and presented in a very creative way. The arguile was very good.
When it came to the payment. We discovered that the prices in the menu are not TTC and we paid $10 for the VAT... The platters were already expensive... and when I asked the waitresses: the first one panicked and the second one lied as like we are dumps!!
Anyway, I was really deceived after a tasty dinner and friendly conversations with the waiters...

They tell you it's cheap and lots of food... Well, what they gave me is worth 6,000 LBP and the price was 24,000 LBP. I ordered grill, and they gave me few meat that doesn't pass 150 grams and the salad 3 times the side, which i did not ask for, and has mayonaise inside which I don't eat.
From the moment I ordered till they gave me the plate, it took them 30 minutes, no joking. As for the dessert, I asked for 2 they said they don't have them. Ok fine... I left...
Plus, the argile from other smoking people blows in your face from time to time, which sucks.
Not worth visiting at all, very small place so small kitchen which tells you why they took so long to prepare it, and Africans work in the kitchen. I didn't see a Lebanese cook... for a Lebanese restaurant. that's just cutting costs.
I advise you Sultan Al Mina, which is on Byblos Mina, it has much better food selection and more delicious and fresh food! The vegetables I tried to eat in Finiqia they have taste of fridge in them: not fresh at all.
