Goûtons Voir is a modern French bistro with two branches: the first in the famous Abdel Wahab street and the second in Junction 5 Dbayeh. We visited the Dbayeh branch where the setting is made with fundamental material in a basic way, which I guess is voluntary. However, it does not reflect the standing of the restaurant.

Goûtons Voir offers a permanent menu in addition to daily specials. The menu is rich with different kinds of entrées, meat, seafood, fish and a large variety of side orders. Prices are expensive but worth the quality.

We ordered foie gras, tarte de chèvre, beef, chicken and salmon filets with side orders. We were all satisfied with the flavor and presentation of the food. The taste reveals the freshness and high quality of the ingredients in addition to the excellence of the chef.

We had dinner on a Saturday night, the place was full but too noisy. We couldn’t hear each others without speaking very loud. The service was too slow, the waiters were running in all directions. We were four, two among us ordered starters and two didn’t, the waiter didn’t ask or take the initiative to bring the main courses of the those who didn’t order starters at the same time with the starters of the others. And since the service was too slow, we spent more than half an hour watching the others eat then wait with us. Another detail: the paper tablesets and napkins do not go well with the bill.

Goûtons voir serves delicious French food but the setting and the service are not as excellent as the food.

Goutons Voir is a small french bistro with a warm atmosphere.
Last saturday, the restaurant was full (in spite of the new law related to the banning of smoking in public places) and the service was slow.
I tried the sea food risotto and the pain perdu. They were very good.
    The prices are above average.

One of my favorite french restaurants in Lebanon. I prefer the cosiness of the Monot branch. the dbayeh branch is not adequate with the food they serve. The service at the dbayeh branch is also not that great and not what you expect from a restaurant of that price range. The service at Monot was great. we even had an item they did not have on the menu that day because we asked if they had it. The prices are expensive though.

We've been to Monot branch. The place is small with a modern decoration and very low lighting. The temperature however was too low as the AC was set at 16 degrees.
We ordered a seafood platter, a well done beef filet and pain perdu. The beef filet was presented on a wooden cutting board and was unfortunately burned; the purée was too oily. The pain perdu was Ok but I've tasted better ones in town.
The service was friendly, caring and fast.
