Green Falafel – Jal el Dib
Modern Falafel Restaurant
Review by Souad
Green Falafel is a modern falafel place with an environmental mission: the restaurant recycles its food and packaging and donates 5% of Mondays revenues to an NGO promoting reforestation.
Green Falafel’s menu features a variety of falafel based items: classic falafel sandwiches in different kinds of bread, falafel burgers and fajitas. Three or four choices of mezze are also available. The restaurant offers an alternative to fat haters / falafel lovers as they can have their falafel grilled if they wish. We tasted the classic sandwiches, the fatoush and the staff insisted on offering us falafel burgers to go as it was our first visit. Sandwiches and burgers were delicious, but unfortunately for my health, I prefer the fat and oily version of falafel to the healthy grilled one.
The place is very casual with a large divan, a chalkboard with funny writings, tables and chairs made from recycled material. There is also a Dunkin Donut corner as the two institutions belong to the same owner.
I expected high prices due to the modern aspect and the branding but I was positively surprised with very affordable prices. Green Falafel is self-sevice, however the staff is very friendly and caring.
If you like Falafel, you must try Green Falafel.Write a Review
