L’Oca Matta – Mar Mikhael
Italian Restaurant in an Old House
Details
Review by Souad
Sacha, the owner of L’Oca Matta, welcomes you in his restaurant with a big smile and a lot of attention. The restaurant is located in a old Lebanese house in Mar Mikhael. The renovation of the place gave three wide rooms with a bar. Each room has its own theme and its own character. We were seated in the red room that I found a little old fashioned.
The menu offers a variety of classic Italian dishes in addition to some dishes that you won’t find elsewhere. You can choose among anti-pasti, risotto, pasta and meat; no pizzas are served at the restaurant. The anti-pasti we ordered were good, the truffle risotto very tasty, the lasagna was good but I’ve tasted better and the tiramisu was awesome with real mascarpone and a divine taste.
The service is very attentive making sure that everything is going well without being too intrusive. Price wise, L’Oca Matta has a wide range of prices giving you the opportunity of having an affordable meal or a fancy dinner.
I would definitely recommend L’Oca Matta for a try and don’t forget to leave a place in your stomach for a tiramisu.
