Between 35$ and 90$

Review by Souad

Sacha, the owner of L’Oca Matta, welcomes you in his restaurant with a big smile and a lot of attention. The restaurant is located in a old Lebanese house in Mar Mikhael. The renovation of the place gave three wide rooms with a bar. Each room has its own theme and its own character. We were seated in the red room that I found a little old fashioned.

The menu offers anti-pasti, risotto, pasta and meat; no pizzas are served at the restaurant. The anti-pasti we ordered were good, the truffle risotto very tasty, the lasagna was good but I’ve tasted better and the tiramisu was awesome with real mascarpone and a divine taste.

The service is very attentive making sure that everything is going well without being too intrusive. Price wise, L’Oca Matta has a wide range of prices giving you the opportunity of having an affordable meal or a fancy dinner.

I would definitely recommend L’Oca Matta for a try and don’t forget to leave a place in your stomach for a tiramisu.

It was very pleasant to be welcomed by the owner of the restaurant with his big smile.
The food was delicious: the octopus salad, the sea food risotto (paella style), the papardelle with duck and especially the tiramisu (amazing).
I think that an effort must be made regarding the decoration...I didn't like the red room with the paintings of cows and ducks.

    It has improved!
Last time we went we had wine at cost price which was really great! The food is still good. The service as last time can be improved. This time we were a big table too, we sat at the entry in the first room, it is more pleasant than the one with the ducks on it.
Nicest place to sit is still outside.
The restaurant respects Law 174. To smoke people had to go out which is nice to see in Lebanon.
