Shater Hassan Palace – Ras Maska
Delicious Lebanese restaurant in an exceptional setting
Review by Souad
Shater Hassan Palace is one of the most famous places in Tripoli. The institution goes back to ages ago, but the Ras Maska branch was opened in 2009. Nested on a cliff near the sea, the restaurant has a stunning view. Besides the exceptional location, Shater Hassan’s interior design makes you travel to the stories of 1001 nights: huge space, high ceiling, cristal chandeliers, arcades, oriental garments on the ceiling and walls, all in a mix of warm and living colors.
Shater Hassan is famous for its cuisine, you can’t go wrong there. The menu offers the classics of a Lebanese menu but do not expect very researched or forgotten plates.
The service however is not the strong point of the restaurant. We felt invaded by the waiters who were turning around us constantly and interfering too often. Concerning the bill, prices are very acceptable considering what the restaurant presents.
In addition to its regular activity, the palace hosts various events: weddings, gatherings, political events…
I definitely recommend Shater Hassan for a family, friends or group lunch or dinner.Write a Review

Good to know
If you’re coming from Beirut, you will see it on the right after the Ras Maska sign, you should take the narrow exit after the sign. Then take your right and follow the restaurant’s signs.
