Tawlet – Mar Mikhael
Homemade & Organic Lebanese Cuisine
Details
Review by Souad
Tawlet is a concept presented by Souk el Tayeb. The restaurant hosts daily a different lady from a different village as a Chef, she cooks her personal and regional specialties with organic ingredients from Souk el Tayeb. Tawlet doesn’t have a menu, it actually has an open buffet with authentic salads, mezze, plates and desserts. Wine lovers won’t be disappointed with Tawlet’s wine list.
The restaurant is small but chic, it actually opens only for lunch until 4:00 pm. The open buffet’s formula is fixed and a little expensive for traditional home-cooked cuisine, but the whole concept is worth the price.
