Description by White Coast
Overlooking one of Lebanon’s most beautiful sea vistas, White Coast presents a mouthwatering combination of Mediterranean and local seafood cuisine and stunning views to match. If you taste the twang of salt at White Coast, it could be coming from nearer than you think. Thanks to its waterfront seaside location, White Coast is an oasis of serenity and fresh maritime savors. It enjoys an excellent situation next to Aïshti Jal el Dib and only a 20 minute journey from the city center. White Coast has a relaxed yet refined air about it. Its chic white marble tables are balanced by aqua blue tones and gleaming glass. Prepare to be spoiled for choice by its inviting selection of fresh fish on display and the luminous lobster aquarium. But the real star is the spacious sea view which takes center stage and opens up to the bays of Beirut and Jounieh. In the restaurant’s trendy ‘sea and be seen’ setting, guests can warm up their winters or chill down their summers with a variety of Mediterranean and Lebanese seafood mezze and main courses. Here one can find a variety of fish, shellfish and crustacean dishes including classics like ‘Fish Tajen’ (sea bass soaked in Tahini), grilled lobster, alongside modern twists such as shrimps flambé in Ouzo and fennel or potted crab with Egyptian ‘Shatta’ chili. For continuous indulgence, opening hours are extended from 12pm to 12am, in order to offer diners a broad choice of early lunch to the early-late dinner. White Coast does not shy away from a little fun, with an outdoor bar and terrace that is the ideal site for sunset aperitifs and late-night drinks. Add to the formula a Mediterranean coast glittering in the not-so-far distance, and the allure gets brighter by the second.
